The worldwide shock over the genocide in Rwanda is reflected in the large number of published works about it. In addition to journalistic and scholarly accounts of events, many authors address the efforts to criminally prosecute the people involved in the mass murder. The question of why the international community did not act to prevent it is examined as well. A number of novels also deal with the genocide. Here is a list of publications in German, English and French.
